Tales From the Undertow

I was lost, I was running Found a corner I could hide in Prayed the dark would never come for me But my heart, it betrayed me, Ripped apart and then remade me Now I'm not the girl I used to be Leave a light on so the angels can find me Leave a light on so the angels can find me I was torn, I was broken In the black, no-one to turn to Standing faithless on that frozen ledge Then you came and you turned me In the rain, your handprints burned me Left me spinning on that dizzy edge Leave a light on so the angels can find me Leave a light on so the angels can find me Leave a light on so the angels can find me Leave a light on so the angels can find me

Wait for You 04:16
We're in an awful fix, can't move forward, can't step back We never planned to feel this way I see the conflict in your eyes There's nothing I can say I will wait for you Til all the things you need to say come crashing through I will wait for you Heaven's falling down on me but I will see this through I know I talk too much Filling the silence, plugging the void Chasing the shadows with the sound Feels like this can only go two ways Washed to sea or run aground But I will wait for you Til all the things you need to say come crashing through I will wait for you Heaven's falling down on me but I will see this through So we're keeping our distance, we practice resistance Pretend this is how things ought to be We shuffle and stumble as our facades crumble And leave us exposed for all to see I'm not gonna tell you, I'm not gonna tell you it's easy And make a liar of me But I will wait for you Til all the things you need to say come crashing through I will wait for you Heaven's falling down on me but I will see this through But I will wait for you Til all the things you need to say come crashing through I will wait for you Heaven's falling down on me but I will see this through

Hidden deep within the dusty attic
Far beyond the reach of light
She dreams someone will come and set her free
In a wooden box with velvet lining
Shackled by the cogs and springs
She's a slave to the winding of the key

 Clockwork ballerina
 She'll forever dance this part
She'll pirouette and spin, with her beautific grin
And her cold and shattered heart
Clockwork ballerina
her heart is on her sleeve
She's looking for her prince, she hasn't seen him since
The day she had to leave

Long ago she would dance in theatres
And her prince was by her side
Now she's trapped inside an evil spell
She'll never be a sugar plum fairy
 Never be a dying swan
Just a prisoner in this clockwork hell

Clockwork ballerina
 She'll forever dance this part
She'll pirouette and spin, with her beautific grin
And her cold and shattered heart
Clockwork ballerina
her heart is on her sleeve
She's looking for her prince, she hasn't seen him since
The day she had to leave

 Clockwork ballerina
 Her story must be told
Her bitter lonely soul, it has nowhere to go
She's never growing old
 Clockwork ballerina
 Forever on her toes
She's locked inside this chest, and she can have no rest
 Until the music slows.

Sitting by the window, watching the trees The leaves unfurl like the pages of a book The whole world has been asleep for such a long time now Losing time beneath the winter's crook And you, with eyes like summer, melt the sky Open up the window, let the warm breeze in The land's been saddened by the loss of light Feels like forever since birdsong filled the air Lifted by the joy of the blackbird's flight And you, with eyes like summer, melt the sky You, with eyes like summer, teach me to fly The turning of the season will come around again Blanket everything that's good in sodden grey But what we have is now and what we have is here And so the coldness of the winter melts away And you, with eyes like summer, melt the sky You, with eyes like summer, teach me to fly

Rota Fortuna 03:34
It's time to take a risk, to have a little fun You should never regret the things you haven't done Take a chance, take a chance, take a chance, and things might go your way You'll never know if you don't try, that's what they always say Turn it around, turn it around Build it up and knock it down don't be afraid to start again It's up to you how much you win Turn it around, turn it around You're in control of what you found don't be afraid to open the door You might just find what you are looking for. It's time to roll the dice, to see what comes up top Naysayers in the room may try to make you stop Take a chance, take a chance, take a chance, it's time to seize the day No, you'll never know if you don't try, that's what they always say Turn it around, turn it around Build it up and knock it down don't be afraid to start again It's up to you how much you win Turn it around, turn it around You're in control of what you found don't be afraid to open the door You might just find what you are looking for.

about

Casee Wilson London, UK

Casee is a piano-acoustic singer-songwriter based in Madrid where she migrated in desperation after Brexit.. Her style has been described as "emotionally walloping piano-folk" but she likes to sprinkle synth elements into her music too.

When she is not gigging or writing she enjoys aikido, taiko drumming and chocolate.
And gin.

But we don’t like to talk about that. *hic*
